The Brief

​

Lover is a small Wiltshire village nestled in the New Forest National Park that prides itself on being a loving and close community.

 

The Lover Community Trust contacted Tailor Made in 2021 to assist with the adaptation of vacant school buildings into a community hall for the use of pre-school, sports groups and events and functions. A thriving community hub comes hand in hand with a functional and adaptable kitchen to serve the members of the parish, and that, we delivered.

The Result

The kitchen lies in the heart of the old school hall with open passes to the main hall and additional meeting rooms through the lobby area. Working solely on electric the scheme looks forward to an eco-friendly future whilst being a fully functioning kitchen serving delicious food to all users of the hall. The space comprises of Lincat induction range and salamander grill and Turbofan convection oven along with beautifully made fabrication for potwash and prep areas.

 

It was a pleasure to work with Nick and the Lover Community Trust to create a bustling heart for Lover village.
